Lean into landscaping this February

Updated: 1 day ago

February might seem to be another month of cold, stay-indoors weather, but there is much to be done outdoors at this time of the year! Boost your mood as you look forward to brighter days alongside some good old-fashioned gardening and landscaping work.

Get ready for spring by carrying out these maintenance tasks in February:

Clean Your Pathways

One of the most satisfying gardening jobs is power-washing paths, scouring off the slippery mould and dark patches that have formed over the winter. Hire a pressure washer to make easy work of this task. Do beware the side effect that you will end up pressure washing anything and everything you can find just for the sheer joy and satisfaction.

Trim Your Hedges

Although hedges have been hibernating, some growth and untidiness may have crept in. With spring on the way, this is your last chance to give them a trim before nesting season. Hire a hedge trimmer to make quick work of this task.

Prune or Fell Wayward Trees

Winter is the best time to trim trees due to their dormant state. Throughout the warmer months, trees are working hard to grow and reproduce. While the trees lie dormant, the energy is being stored ready for the Summer.

If you have a tree that is in the way or that has grown out of control, now is the time to cut it.

Greenplant provides a range of plant and tools to help with this, from handsaws to chainsaws and stump grinders.

Have a look at our gardening equipment available to hire and get your garden ready for growing! For bigger landscaping projects, you might also need diggers, dumpers, and more. Give us a call and we'll sort you out.
