Our Road Plates are made of mild steel and are supplied in a range of steel gauges in order to best suit your needs. We recommend using 13mm thick steel road plates for pedestian & lighter vehicle use and the thicker 19mm steel road plates for allowing vehicles to pass over them. Road plates are normally used to cover temporary excavations. Although road plates are also often used in other construction/demolition works, as well as in private environments.
