Our road plates are made of mild steel and are supplied in a range of steel gauges in order to best suit your needs. We recommend using 13mm thick steel road plates for pedestrian and lighter vehicle use and the thicker 19mm steel road plates for allowing vehicles to pass over them. Road plates are normally used to cover temporary excavations but are also used in other construction/demolition works as well as in private environments.
