A sonde signal tool (or pipe/duct sonde) is a compact, battery-powered transmitter used to trace non-conductive pipes, drains, sewers, and conduit. These devices are inserted into pipes and emit an electromagnetic signal that is detected by a handheld receiver on the surface, allowing operators to map the pipe's path and pinpoint blockages.
